The Porsche Macan Opions

Joseph and I have been talking about ugly cars and Joseph mentioned this one several times. I think it doesn't look half bad but Joseph thoroughly despises it. Here are our views:

I Like It ! (by Haris)

I quite like the sporty profile and sloping roof. I think it's very sleek and sporty compared to other 4x4s. I also love the interior with all the tactile buttons and switches to touch. It's also very quick for its size. Here are the stats: a V6 twin turbo engine delivers 340bhp (Sport model) /440bhp for the top of the range giving it a 0-62mph in 5.4 secs (Macan S) / 4.4secs (GTS) which is quite impressive to me. Top speed doesn't matter to me unless you're in Germany (autobahn) because you're never going to need to go over 90mph. Here's my stubborn colleague's review:

I know what you'll be thinking. Porsche make great sports cars such as the 911 and the 918 Spyder, but this is different. Porsche DO NOT make 4x4s and have not impressed me with their latest efforts. 4x4s are not meant to be sporty; they are meant to be invincible in the toughest of conditions.I also hate the interior, it's like there's been an explosion in the Porsche button factory; they're everywhere! Yes it's fast. Yes it's got power. But it looks horrible, and that's all that matters.

The Verdict

Here you have two entirely different views from two similar people. We conclude that we have learnt nothing and that the Porsche Macan is brilliant (Errm, one of us may have made that bit up.)
