I know people think because my family has one of these I'm going to write a biased report but I am not. Here is my view on this car which I live with. Firstly lets start with the looks, I think it looks very angular like a sharp Czech knife (awful similie)
but the rear looks an awful lot like a Seat Ateca (below)

This is because Skoda and Seat are all in the VW group and many of their models share the same styling cues.
Underneath the Skoda badge it is basically a VW Passat which is no bad thing. One of my favourite things about the car is not the rear heated seats or the class leading, shopping munching boot it is... the twin door umbrellas!! Now I know you think that a rather lame feature but the two umbrellas tucked inside the door cubbies are super useful when it rains. I mean a Rolls Royce only has one umbrella! Go Skoda ! Now we move onto the interior which is boring but laden with tech and comforts, now I'm not asking for a colour fest but maybe a funky gear knob or a coloured panel would spice up the interior. Inside like the chassis it is much like a VW Passat and the infotainment is ace. One big issue is the fact that the seats offer barely any sideways support, I don't want all out bucket seats but some side padding would be much appreciated .Skoda has added some of its own tech and an optional extra is self park, which my dad has used a lot. It is really amazing when the steering wheel turns itself! Here are some of the stats: prices start at around £21,000 but a Mercedes E class costs £35,000!! It's great value. 0-60 in 10.0 seconds and 126g/km of Co2.
Verdict
This is a great value rival of the VW Passat but without the premium price and much cooler styling. Superb effort Skoda (the puns keep rolling).
