American Muscle

I have 3 Muscle cars I'm reviewing (or at least trying to review as I have obviously never driven one, nor been in one). Which will come out on top and which will be the weakling of the lot?

Contender 1

Ford Mustang GT 2015

I know that you won't really consider buying this car as a family car , or a car you go out to the shops in, or a car you take the dog for a walk in, but if you are considering buying this car to take out once a month and keep it immaculate, then as far as I can see, this ticks all the boxes. The interior not too bad and the outside looks really great! You can get a convertible which is probably nicer, but it is 3 grand more expensive (£39,00 for the convertible). The buttons in the interior might not be the best around, but I can't say it's as bad as the Ford Fiesta's. It's not the most economic (20 mpg) , but 0-60 in 4.4 secs-not too shabby! Oh great! That means there'll be a pretty high top speed! Oh come on, it's been limited to 155 mph! Power hasn't exactly been rationed either-410 mustang power! #The puns keep rolling! (if you don't get that pun then click here!)

Verdict

I love the Mustang and there hasn't been a single one that hasn't been brilliant. There's only one problem...the top speed is limited! :-(

Chevrolet Camaro 2015

From the front, it looks like a monster! It seriously looks scary! Chevrolet have tried to make something that looks cool and in my opinion, they've failed miserably. I don't like the fact that at the front the grill comes out in the middle, nor do I like the stripes that rise up from the rest of the bonnet! One positive thing about the appearance I will say is that it looks quite nice from the back. If we move onto the interior...IT'S HORRENDOUS! I'm not a HUGE fan of the silk-like material on the steering wheel, and the technology looks like it came out of 2005! The only thing I like about the interior is the 2 dials in front of the driver! Well to redeem itself from that, the Camaro will have to be loaded with power! It has 425 BHP, only 15 more than the Mustang, but the acceleration isn't as good as the Mustang-0-60 in 5.0 secs! And the top speed...well it's been limited AGAIN! And the price..........£39,000! That's £3,000 more than the Mustang and the same as the Mustang convertible! I'd go with the Mustang every day of the week! Why not?!

Verdict

A poor car made by the company that sponsor my favourite football team. If you're gonna make a car, make it good looking!

Dodge Hellcat

What a brutal car! It just looks like a muscle car! It looks good and it performs well too! Let's look at the appearance first: from the front, the grill makes you absolutely certain that there's a V8 in the bonnet. It also sounds awesome! However, the back of the car could REALLY be improved to look MUCH more like a muscle car. Despite the material, I do like the red seats and the tech is alright. The screen could be bigger, but overall the interior is pretty average. You know I said about the V8?...that will make a beautiful noise! And it has silly power-707 BHP and a top speed of 199 mph-the only contender not to have a limited top speed! And the 0-60 is 3.5 seconds! That's 0.9 seconds shorter than the Mustang!!!! But that's just toooooo much in my opinion. Why so much? And the price is a bit too much! £50,000!

Verdict

A great car with a bit too much power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Result

Well, I would have the Mustang over the Camaro and the Hellcat, despite the immense power that the Hellcat gives you, and the...well there's not too much good at all in the Camaro! Anyway I like the Mustang best and so that will be the conclusion. THE MUSTANG IS THE WINNER!!!!!!!
